Create A Maze Of City Streets With Electrical Tape!

Tape Roadway

Doesn’t this look fun? It’s a great activity that could occupy kids for a whole afternoon. I couldn’t convince my kids to build buildings and bridges and tunnels with blocks to complete the scene, but maybe yours will? We left it intact for a few days, and the kids had fun walking through their streets!

I used electrical tape from the hardware store on tile floors, and there was no adhesive left on the floor after the tape was removed, so do use tape that won’t make clean-up a bother!

Tape Road Details

Cute details like traffic lights and signs add interest to this activity, and of course there are so many creative ways to explore this idea. Enjoy, and I’d love to see what you come up with! And for those of you without little ones who might enjoy this project, so keep some tape on hand as a great activity for visitors!

Sara Rivka – My son saw the email you sent with this idea, and he decided to do it himself with masking tape. It doesn’t come off as nicely as electric tape, but he had a great time doing it and playing with matchbox cars on the road. He even designated one area as a parking lot!
