Slice Of Life: A Moroccan Delicacy, Apparently!

Slice of Life; Moroccan Treat!

If your husband goes vegetable shopping, and this arrives with the delivery, just be grateful that you have something interesting to share with your readers during the post-Chanukah now what? syndrome. Just tell me, would you laugh and grab your camera? That’s what I did. Photos first, questions later!

Now it’s hard to tell in the photo, but these stalks are huge! Anyone know what they are? Well, I’ll tell you, these are the stalks from the artichoke plant, and it’s a delicacy in my husband’s family. You peel off the hairy skin and eat it raw or cooked. I can’t say I’d recommend it, then again it wilted too much before I was able to try it cooked…..and that my friends is a little slice of my life……you should have seen my children begging to try some of this “delicacy” as my husband carefully dissected it!
