Pom Pom Holiday Decor Kids Love To Make

Pom Poms Made By Kids

My kids love to make pom poms. Infact they were fighting over the Clover pom pom maker last night as I was making dinner. And I fully expect the pom pom making to continue this evening, which is of course just fine with me. Not a terribly creative activity, but the act of making something, anything, is a wonderful thing and always something to be encouraged. So I think I’ll get out some more colors and be on standby to cut the pom poms off the pom pom maker and give them a little hair cut.

I do think that pom poms hung from a stick (or even a wire hanger?) make perfectly cute holiday decor, so let the pom pom making commence in your house! Of course if you have just too many pom poms when the excitement dies down, you can always use them for great gift toppers or make some of my pom pom flowers for your table. Have fun!

Oh, we love pom poms! They are relaxing to make together. Much like other calm activities like knitting, crocheting and hand-sewing. For those that don’t have a pom pom maker, our daughter made a simple way of creating them with out one: http://www.wordplayhouse.com/2011/04/how-to-make-pom-poms/
I love your simply beautiful way of hanging them on a stick. Lovely. -heather

As an answer to your comment at the milkcan houses, you will on the 22.th of December understand why I laughed when I saw you posting this. (I had allready made my calender, and ours isnt as neat as yours, but same colour and all;) All the best to you, looking forward to craft schooling season again!
