
In a previous post about the perfect crocheted heart ornament, I mentioned to you all that I’d share my trials and errors along the road to creating something with hearts for my daughter, so here they are!
Top: A swatch made from this pattern, with a diagram here, which looks really cute in the photo but not so fabulous here, maybe because it would be better in finer yarn, as opposed to the chunky yarn I used? Of course come to think of it, it would be cute to do on just a few rows at the end of a scarf or blanket, you decide!
Bottom: A totally wonky square made not so successfully from this pattern, if I can’t get it right the first time, very likely not worth my effort!
So there you have it my friends, always a good idea to make some test swatches before diving in head first, and who knows, in the process you may very well end up in a place you hadn’t even dreamed of!
