Container Gardening: Vinca In Bloom

Container Gardening Vinca In Bloom

This summer on account of a busy schedule I am mostly in maintenance mode with my large container garden, though I couldn’t resist a few small pots of flowers in our shady courtyard to enjoy some summer color. The plant here is called Vinca, and  is a shade loving annual (for most of us) with sweet flowers, and growth that’s possible to witness on an almost daily basis!

Even a tiny pot (which this is) with just $1.50 (6 shekels) worth of flowering annuals gives a summery feeling that’s worth so much more! Next time you’re out and about, pick up some summer annuals, and you won’t regret it!

Lovely post, thank you. I’m always looking for bright, easy, drought resistant and hearty flowers to plant and it’s been so hit and miss for me. Geraniums seem to do really well for me and I have another succulent (don’t know the name) that flourishes. I’ll try the vinca. 🙂
    Best blessings!

Great to hear from you! You can still have some enjoyment from the Vincas now, as the man at the nursery told me that theyll be blooming until December/January or so! In any case, I love them more when theyre smaller, after three months theyre a bit on the leggy side. If you need more advice about plants that work well in Tsfat, Id be happy to help, just drop me a line and we can even do some plant shopping together!
