Isn’t this fall color just gorgeous? And it’s one of my favorite color combos, pink and orange, stunning. And best of all, I really can’t take much credit for this one, namely blooming Gazania at the base of my lemon tree……this is purely an act of nature!
As you may very well know, seeds travel in the wind, and while it’s always a miracle of sorts to me, they implant somehow and germinate all by themselves and grow into new plants. And that is exactly what happened here, on account of a thriving Gazania plant in my neighbor’s container garden a full two stories above my lemon tree!
Simply put, a wonderful New Year’s gift. Now my only question is whether to dig it up to enjoy in the window sill garden off my kitchen, where I can pamper it more, or just let it be?

And looking through my archives, I think I have spotted the kind giver, there in this container on the right hand side appears to be Gazania flowers, which I must say do look quite similar to the flowers on the left which I believe are African Daisies. Either way I’m so grateful to be the recipient of this kind gesture!
