Crocheted Cap Sleeved Sweater For Girls That You Can Easily Customize!

Crocheted Cropped Sweater For Girls

Looking for a not so difficult and quick to crochet sweater for a sweet girl in your life? I’d recommend this Bebop Cardi from Lion Brand, as I made it in about two nights and it’s the perfect little cropped sweater for any wardrobe, and easily spans the seasons.

And if you’d prefer a pullover, or as a second option, you could crochet this in rounds instead of rows! My daughter has been wearing this capped sleave crocheted sweater with a variety of black and white pieces, and I’m now thinking about making her one for summer evenings using cotton or something a bit lighter weight. And while I love the simplicity of this sweater, we could use one that is just a bit dressier, maybe with a sublte metallic trim or even a little furry stripe or two for winter?

Notes Regarding The Bebop Cardi Pattern:

I used a 5mm hook and Red Heart super saver yarn to achieve the gauge specified. That said, the size medium is quite roomy on my somewhat slim 11 3/4 year old daughter, (not fitted like in the pattern photo) though the length is perfect. From the back it hits her just above the waistband of the skirts she has worn.

The button placement that we choose isn’t so great, we’ll be moving it up, or adding another button at the neck. Additionally, one can choose to close the neck up with an additional row or two by just continuing with the pattern as indicated.

And by the way, if you’d like to make a similar sweater for a baby, I just was a link to a baby cap sleaved sweater that would be a perfect pair with this one for matching sibling sweaters, scroll down to see the cap sleaved version!

NOTE: This was the first Passover that I planned to make something for my daughter and was actually able to follow through on it, yippee! How did that happen? I quite simply, or not so simply, planned ahead andI made it immediately after Purm before all the madness of the Passover cleaning! We were so happy to have this little sweater come Passover when the need for a number of outfits is much greater than usual!
