Felt Rosebud Bouquet Revisited (And How To Wash Your Old One!)

Felt Rosebud Bouquet

Back in 2009, when I had just started this little blog, I made a felt rosebud bouquet that was quite a hit, and I’ve been using it ever since most recently as decor on a side table in our tiny guest room. Because I never glued the foam ball into the original vase, I have now placed the bouquet in shorter bowl, that also looks sweet.

The felt rosebud bouquet has held up quite well, except for one little problem it started to get very dusty and I really couldn’t figure out what to do about that unsightly dust! And then, a thought popped into my head…..why not just wash it? So dear readers I quite simply placed it under a running faucet and washed away all that dust! I then placed it in the sun to dry, and voila almost as good as new! It’s true, water can dislodge some of the hot glue used to adhere the felt rosebuds, but that can be easily fixed.

So with this new information under your belt, you can now proceed to the tutorial and make one for yourself here!

Hi Sara!!!! I was working this morning on cleaning up some of my blog archives and I found the Felt Rose Bud tutorial you did as a guest post waaaaayyyy back in January of 2010 and that got me thinking, “I wonder what she is up to now?!” Funny to see the update on your blog homepage of the exact project that brought me back to your site! I am glad to see you are still blogging and enjoying life. Take care,
