With Tu B’Shevat coming up on Sunday night NOW is the time to learn how to make a 3D origami apple with toile paper! And truly dear readers, this one is so simple and I just love the toile paper, it adds so much elegance to this very simple craft. I made this apple with the full sheet of 12″ x 12″ scrapbooking paper, but you can choose to go smaller, or even larger. You may have seen my simple origami pears made with blue toile paper, so why not make both? Check out my giant origami apple centerpiece, and bushel of giant origami apples, as well as my adorable tray of small origami apples for some inspiration. This is a great craft for any age and a fantastic way to make a quick centerpiece, or a bunch of centerpieces. And once you get the hang of the origami folds it comes together very quickly. Okay, lets do it!

You’ll Need:
• red toile paper, or the paper of your choice, preferably light weight, unless you are going very large in which case wrapping paper/origami weight paper is too light
• matte gold metallic paper for leaf and stem
• hot glue gun or high tack craft glue
• how to make an accordion fold paper leaf tutorial
• how to fold an origami apple balloon instructions below
