Simple Crocheted Dollhouse Pillows

So-simple-crocheted-dollhouse-pillowsI feel like shouting from the roof tops that making tiny crocheted items for a 1/12 scale dollhouse is just a truly wonderful way to make the sweet dollhouse (wooden hopefully for the best results) so much more inviting to play with for the little ones. And truthfully, even if there is no actual dollhouse, a shoebox, little cardboard suitcase, or even no structure whatsoever can still be so much fun. You do of course need some little creatures I think, rather than wooden peg dolls that are fine if there is an actual dollhouse. These are baby faux Sylvanian Family dolls (Calico Creatures) which are really so adorable, just if buying copies beware of some that are quite strange, and maybe steer clear of any white ones. Okay, so whether there is actually a dollhouse to create for, or not, lets crochet some simple pillows, using up your stash, and bringing joy to all, adults included! Ah yes, and the crocheted dollhouse rug is of course a necessity as well. And so it goes!

Simple Crocheted Dollhouse Pillows:

No pattern needed, simply make two squares or rectangles of single crochet. Then attach by doing a row of single crochet around the perimeter, right side out, with 2sc or 3sc in each corner, and stuff before you get to the end, and then close with final stitches. Really so simple, and you can make the border a different color, or each side a different color.

Enjoy!
