Isn’t this DIY puppet theater just beyond adorable? I can’t take credit for it other than spotting it on Pexels.com, identifying the photographer as Vlada Karpovich, and deciding to write about it! (Truthfully the photos were in a desktop folder from a few years back, and just rediscovered them, but this project is timeless, so now is as good a time as any.) Honestly, with my focus lately being on DIY dollhouses, maybe puppet theaters is next? To make this dollhouse you’ll need someone that is handy with a jigsaw, some metal stands of some kind and blow-ups of the elements that were created with watercolor on a letter sized sheet of paper (I’m guessing.) So get inspired to make a great puppet theater yourself, and don’t forget the tiny twinkle lights outlining the window, as well as other elements of light, which makes the puppet theater glow.
And friends, this puppet theater is actually quite simple to make, other than the cutout, as the artwork, namely the roof, door and window, which are what make this fabulous, are printed blow ups of watercolor illustrations that you can surely paint yourself, or ask someone top paint for you! The trees, which might have benefited from also being hand painted illustrations, are clip art that has been blown up as well. But do include the trees, or some elements off to the side as that truly adds so very much. Maybe the trees could be clusters of trees with small windows for puppets as well?

And now that I consider this puppet theater, why not make a tabletop sized one, maybe from cardboard and foam core, now that is something we can all do!
