The Fig Tree Awakens With Tiny Leaves And Fruit In Northern Israel

Fig Tree First Leaves And Tiny Fruit IsraelOne sign that Spring has truly arrived is the tiny leaves and tiny figs that begin to appear on the sculptural bare branches of our native fig trees. The leaves are miniature versions of their larger selves, and just so very very sweet that I had to capture the magic on my camera. Enjoy the signs of Spring where ever you may be! And keep on reading to see the tree these leaves belong to!

Fig Tree Bare Branches Tiny Leaves IsraelHere is the very old (hundreds of years) fig tree that I photographed, and it happens to have been planted in the courtyard of an old stone home (or the home was built around it) now converted to art galleries and shops, and truly a must see if you are ever in Safed, Israel. It is called the Fig Tree Courtyard on Alkabetz Lane.

I am actually in the middle of an interesting Interior Design project just up these stairs and opposite a very gorgeous view, more on that after Passover when it will be hopefully nearing completion.

Hey on this fig tree does it have an early small fig. The after the leaves grow a larger, sweeter fig. If not do you know of one in Israel that does?

    Thanks

Hi Curtis, Sorry I really do not know, but that does sound very interesting! All the best.
