The Embroidery Hoop Mobile Revisited: Thanks To A Reader!

BirdHoopMobile-Reader's version

I’m getting a bit of a late start this morning as one of my children was up in the middle of the night with an earache…..and it may just be that I’m still recovering from all the hard work and festivities that we experienced during the month of Nissan!  But today is the first day (Rosh Chodesh) of the new month of Iyar, so Chodesh Tov (happy new month) to all of you!

I just checked my email and received such a nice surprise that I just had to share with you. A reader and fellow blogger, Amy of heynowwhoanow sent along photos of her version of my embroidery hoop mobile!
It’s really so exciting to see someone else’s take on my idea, especially since I just love her version!  And after all, the whole point of this blog is sharing, so it’s great to see some fruits!

So thanks Amy for helping me out with my post today! And if any of you have made projects inspired by something you saw here, please do share! You can send me an email or a link to where you may have posted the photos. All the best!

Two things I’ve loved about this project: 1) I still have the outside hoops left, so you can make 2 for the price of 1!, 2) it’s easily customizable… I think a dinosaur mobile would be tres cute! Thanks for the idea, and for featuring my take on your brilliance!!

What a perfect idea! I can imagine using butterflies or perhaps birds modeled after those well-known yellow rubber duckies. I have a couple of friends having baby showers soon, thank you for a gift that will be different from the rest, and, hopefully, cherished.
