How To Make Fun Cardboard Balloon Engagement Decor

How to make fun cardboard balloon engagement decor? So very simple friends, and perfect in a pinch, because all you need is cardboard, and a few paint pens! A few months ago I made a cardboard balloon first birthday photo backdrop that was so very sweet. So I pulled that idea out my hat when my son’s friend who just got engaged would be visiting us for shabbat, and he was so very touched! I’ll admit I love the white paint pen on the cardboard more than the pink and yellow, but couldn’t find my white paint pen, yikes. And yes, white paint pens are your best friend when crafting simple decorations with brown cardboard! Okay, lets make some cardboard balloons, shall we?

You’ll Need:

• cardboard box cardboard, but not the really thick version

• paint pens

• curling ribbon

• good scissors

How To:

Draw balloons on cardboard, cut out and draw lettering as well, with a pencil. When you are happy with your lettering and balloon shape, cut out and then go over lettering with paint pens and make a border around the balloon. Attach ribbon around the neck of the balloon and voila!
