If you’ve been following my crafting adventures over the years, you’ll surely recognize the fact that I love origami, so writing once again about how to make origami dreidels for your chanukah crafting just comes oh so naturally! And of course I’ve just finished teaching my 3rd and 4th grade students how to fold these, so of course I had to make some for myself! Last year I posted an origami dreidel garland that was made by a student in my class of 4th graders, and at the bottom of this post in the “related posts” grid you’ll see many more posts, so do give this a try, how about with starched fabric, something I have yet to get to myself!

Origami Dreidels Supplies:
• origami squares (or paper you cut yourself) in the following sizes:
• scissors and a glue stick (not used for authentic origami, but this version needs it)
• My How To Fold Origami Dreidels tutorial
• a tiny bit of patience for the last step, which I’ve indicated, you can do it!

How To Use Origami Dreidels For Craft Projects
Friends, there are so many ways to use these dreidels, whether made from plain colored paper, metallic paper or patterned paper, or a combination of all three! Here are a few ideas:
- Glue a ribbon to the back and use them as napkin rings, or gift toppers
- Make a bunch and hang vertically from a skewer, clothes hanger or stick
- Glue a small one to an oblong piece of cardboard and make a gift tag
- Make a fun holiday garland
- Tape a skewer to the back of each one and make a bouquet or stick them into glass jars or containers filled with kosher salt
- No limit to the ways to get creative, so have fun!
