Features coming soon, thanks for joining me here! Actually more behind with the features than planned as I’ve been first cleaning up our bomb shelter room so we can sleep there tonight, and secondly, going into the bomb shelter when a siren sounded. I don’t usually comment on our war time status here in Israel, but lets just say things got very interesting today as sirens sounded and many missiles literally flying overhead were intercepted by the technology for which we are very very grateful! My husband even saw the new laser interception technology in action, with a large stream of blue light coming from a distant mountainside aimed at a missile.
And friends, the Jewish holiday of Purim which celebrates the triumph of good over evil, happened in Persia (Iran) and is coming up this Monday night, which means history is repeating itself? This morning, shabbat Zachor, (meaning remember) we read the yearly Torah portion, which all adults must hear, in which we stamp out Amalek, the ultimate evil, and this year as many across Israel were literally stamping their feet during the reading of the name Amalek, the evil Iranian ruler (who incidently was a Holocaust denier) was assassinated. Now there is less evil in the world, and hopefully the people of Iran will have a chance to build a country that is fit for humans!
