When I discovered that making origami shapes using toile paper elevated the craft to something totally lovely, and even elegant I was so very very happy, as having said goodbye to using bright colors in the dining room, I though my crafty holiday decor might suffer. But it turns out that opting for metallics, neutrals and some dark greens instead, with a mix of toile has been very very wonderful! So, after sharing my blue toile origami pyramids, I now introduce tiny golden origami pyramids, actually made with some wrapping paper from a Purim gift! I don’t know if anyone else saves little scraps of paper, but I do, and for once it actually came in good use. I love the mix of the toile with the gold, and I may even create a tablescape with these pyramids for the seder, or at least a nice setup on the sideboard, we will see! They look amazing made in many sizes and I was thinking that maybe I could use sandpaper to cover a base of some kind? Never mind, too much cleaning to do for the holiday! Okay, lets make some tiny golden origami pyramids!

Once you start folding these pyramids, you’ll want to make a ton, believe me!
You’ll Need:
• gold paper, mine is heavy weight wrapping paper
• how to fold an origami pyramid tutorial

They truly can be used in so many ways, so get those creative gears turning while you prepare for the holiday! Oh I see, you want me to share some of my ideas? Okay, here goes:
• place cards, with the name written on the pyramid or make a tiny sign with a toothpick pole and stick it into the top
• napkin rings: hot glue to some velvet ribbon and tie around the napkin
• ornaments: hang from the chandelier at varied heights
• home decor: fill a glass bowl with them, or fill a deep tray with kosher salt and stand them up in the salt……..or how about sand in a terrarium bowl with a few pyramids? Or maybe kosher salt, that could be hail, in a fish bowl with a few pyramids, thanks, I’m going to try that!
