I almost can’t believe it myself, but just as I was dreaming of making origami pyramids from marbled paper, I remembered I’d saved a marble pattern gift bag! Miracle of miracles, I actually knew where it was, and when I realized it was square and thus the bottom of the bag could be used as the base of the pyramid, bingo! This is truly simple, and actually you end up with two pyramids, as a second one can be made from the pieces you remove, assuming you do it in an exacting manner, which in any case is required to make one pyramid. There is still time to whip one of these up for the Passover seder, so let’s get to it!

You’ll Need:
• A square gift bag made from heavy weight patterned paper
• a ruler and a pencil, scissors
• high tack glue or a hot glue gun
How To:
- remove handles from bag. DO NOT cut the bag in any way at this point.
- Lay the bag flat and on each side draw lines from each corner to a point at the top of the bag that is exactly in the middle.
- Now, draw flaps, one on each side of the triangle, about 1cm wide.
- Carefully remove the areas not needed, which are themselves upside down triangles that can be used to make a second pyramid!
- Now you can open the bag flat and it should look like a giant x of sorts.
- Score the line between the flap and the triangle, two scores per side.
- Using glue affix one flap to the next, carefully.
- Voila, a pyramid is born!
- Make a second pyramid without a base by simply taking light weight cardboard and using that to make flaps on each triangle. Affix as with the larger one, and wow!

Wishing everyone a wonderful, meaningful Pesach, and please excuse my instructions if they aren’t quite as detailed as they could be, running to finish everything for the holiday!
