If you are looking for a way to upgrade the look of your round sourdough loaves without the pressure of intricate scoring (that you don’t have time for!) you have come to the right place! Now you can learn how to make a simply stunning bull’s eye sourdough score on round loaves with my helpful and oh so simple tips. Now your sourdough not only will taste delicious, but look amazing, and have everyone wooing and wowing from start to finish! Okay, lets do it!

You’ll Need:
• Traditional round banneton baskets made from ratan cane (or any natural material that mimics the original material, not sure what mine are actually made of)
• A razor blade
How To:
- You’ll need to condition your basket to use without fabric liner as follows: Wash basket with water and leave in sun to dry. When dry, sprinkle with flour and spray with water so the flour sticks to the basket. Let dry, pat out excess flour and repeat one more time. Before placing loaf in basket to proof, sprinkle basket with flour.
- When bread has proofed overnight in basket, turn basket upside-down onto baking paper so release loaf.
- Sprinkle flour onto loaf to bring out rings pattern made from basket.
- With razor blade score a round circle using one of the circles as your guide.
- Bake and enjoy!

Truly friends, this has been a game changer for my sourdough presentation. And yes, I baked those sourdough baguettes, tutorial coming soon.

Enough said, go for it!
