Introducing DIY Polymer Clay Food: How To Make 16 Adorable Items, courtesy of my talented 24 year old daughter who joined in on the fun of our polymer clay crafting marathon. And friends, wouldn’t making tiny polymer clay doughnuts be so much fun for Chanukah? Doughnut earrings, bracelets, pendants, magnets, you name it!
And yes, my daughter truly has a talent for creating tiny things, and with minimal tools, just polymer clay and patience! We had a hard time choosing our favorite, and they are even more incredible in person!

You’ll Need:
• polymer clay, this was a relatively inexpensive set that comes with many small bricks of likely not such great quality clay, but perfect for things like this
• a rolling pin of some kind, even a marker or glue stick works well
• a few tools to make round indentations as on ice cream sandwich and waffles, tomatos, and a larger round tool to make indentation of pit on avocado
•.a knife of some kind, just be careful if crafting with young ones
• some imagination and patience!
How To:
Sorry, no specific instructions, but I did see her roll out the tiny rope to make the sprinkles on the doughnut, and the peanut butter drizzle on the Pb&J sandwich.
Ah yes, and the croussant is made like rugelach, by rolling up a triangle, so simple even the 10 year old who was crafting made a great looking one!
As it turns out, tiny polymer clay food is all the rage, so if this sparks some creativity you can surely find lots of folks who do this kind of thing with great passion! Me? I’m trying to figure out what crafts to make for Chanukah with my students and delving back into art, so I’ll leave projects like this for my daughter, for today anyway!
