Noah’s Ark In Glitter And Sequins!

Noah's Ark For Kids; Glitter & Sequins

A golden ark, and animals bedecked in sequins? Why not celebrate Noah and his crew with glitter or just about anything that one can apply with glue? After all, his animals were certainly no ordinary creatures if they merited to climb aboard his amazing vessel! Right? Yup, that's the kind of thinking that comes with the territory when one has the self appointed task of dreaming up projects to do with the little ones, (among other things as I'm sure you can imagine….)

I made the ark from a heavy-weight piece of metallic gold cardboard, and the animals were traced from stencils onto cereal box cardboard. Then I stepped aside, and my daughter used paint, glitter glue, and regular glue together with sequins and actual glitter to decorate the shapes. A simple project with great results, and fun for a group of kids. I was able to cut two animals at a time with the  cereal box cardboard, though you may want to cut the animals from thick paper so that you could cut even more at a time, and provide your crew with a whole menagerie.

For silhouettes of the animals I used here, and to see my Noah's Ark project from last year check out this post. A little more involved than this one, but well worth the effort!

I love this! My little girl would be a huge fan. We just might add this to our list of fun things to do next week…
It also reminded me to post the ark my son made; in case you’re interested: http://thepracticalperfeccionista.wordpress.com/2010/10/07/noahs-ark-animal-classification/
    Thanks!
