Today my daughter made this gorgeous little Hanukkah menorah with flickering LED candles using a really great kit courtesy of Kiwi Crate, a new company that makes special crafting kits for kids. When Kiwi Crate contacted me about trying out their Handmade Hanukkah Kit, I had no idea that such a treat was in store for us! Every aspect, from receiving the package in the mail to opening it up to reveal the contents, to doing one of the projects was truly a pleasure.

With Kiwi Crate one can buy individual kits, like the Handmade Hanukkah Kit, or subscribe to their month to month club, which sounds fantastic. Either way, the kits arrive in a really attractive box like this one…….

….with a nice descriptive label on the inside cover. Each project has a really fun and simple to understand instruction card, and supplies are neatly packed in small containers. Everything one needs to get started!

My daughter plowed ahead and made a gorgeous little Hanukkah menorah with no input from mom, and fortunately we have a narrow tray just long enough to serve as the perfect base.

We can’t wait to enjoy our new menorah this Hanukkah, and I know we’ll enjoy it for years to come!
And yes, the other young members of the family were quite jealous when they got home from school, and fortunately I did have the foresight to save the other project in the kit, dreidel spin art, for them to do on another day! And to wrap up this post, I’ll just quote my daughter the crafting connoisseur (at this point….) who quite simply said “tell them to send more!” Translation: great holiday gift idea! A Kiwi Crate gift subscription!
Oh and by the way, rumor has it that Kiwi Crate is giving away 8 Handmade Hanukkah kits, more info here.
