Crocheted Tiny Pouch For The Little Stuff

Make tiny crocheted pouches to hold the little stuff…..I’m sure everyone needs a few of these don’t you think? They’re so simple to whip up, and a great project for any level. And of course, you can make yours much cuter than this one by using multiple colors……I made this one with some yarn a neighbor dropped off at our house in the heat of house cleaning before Passover, but will make some more with colors that are enticing in the future.

And what are these little squares you might ask? They are called chamesh avanim, five stones, a game sort of like jacks without a ball, which I believe exists in many cultures, and is a classic game that even my husband played as a child in Israel. I just love the little metal cubes, though making sure they don’t end up in the laundry is a task unto itself! And in case you are wondering, the cubes should really all be the same, just these were assembled from lots of different sets, as they seem to get lost quite easily.

You’ll Need:

• worsted weight yarn, and a size 5mm hook or the hook and yarn of your choice
• a contrasting color for the tie
• a pattern for a crocheted pouch, mine is here

How To:

Crochet according to the pattern, though for a tiny pouch you’ll only crochet a base that’s a few rows, otherwise the pouch will not be tiny!  Ahhhhhh, at long last you can have little pouches for that little stuff, what a relief!
