Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks for joining me here! On Monday night we will usher in the joyful holiday of Lag B’Omer, a very happy day within a period of mourning, in which bonfires are lit to honor the holy sage Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, and celebratory first haircuts, otherwise forbidden during this period, are given to three year old boys. Many tens of thousands generally flock to the gravesite of Rebbi Shimon in Northern Israel, but this year once again festivities will be very limited due to security reasons. Nonetheless, the holiday will be celebrated of course, and there is still time to make a few simple crafts, which I’ve featured here. Enjoy!

A wonderful and simple “bonfire jar” from jewish moms and crafters, so simple with great results!

Wow, stunning abstract fire paintings from make it Jewish, a great way to dive into abstract painting/art journaling!

Wonderful fake bake cookies in the woodland and icecream themes, from studio27 by Jennifer Adams.

Fabulous floral collage using colored envelopes, from sum of their stories, especially great for art journals!
