How To Enjoy Stunning Bougainvillea In Bloom In The German Colony, Jerusalem

Love bougainvillea vines bursting with glorious color, and especially when combined with old stone architecture? Me too! So lets take a look at how to enjoy stunning bougainvillea in bloom in the German Colony, Jerusalem! A funny title, I know, but for search engines to find this article the “how to” helps, and so it goes! So for starters, plan a trip to the German Colony in Jerusalem, and spend time walking around the greater area, which also includes the Greek Colony referred to on maps, as well as Katamon. These neighborhoods are packed with history and many stately buildings with historic plaques, so if you love to explore give yourself a good few hours. And, while the Nature museum is under renovation, there is a sweet little garden complete with lily pond and lots of shade to rest, so bring a picnic and enjoy. I noticed that quite a few homes have vines of some kind growing over the entrance, which I do love, and this one is actually in Katamon.

Wow, coral bougainvillea is stunning against this new-ish home, or possibly old old home with floors added above. In Jerusalem one can only build using “Jerusalem Stone” which keeps things looking at least a bit consistent.
